Under Way! May 25

5/25/09 Happy Veteans Day! Finally, here we are, ready to leave Port Charlotte on our first summer adventure to New England!! After 3 weeks of work, the house is empty and ready for its renters, the 5th Wheel is loaded with the bikes and all our stuff, as well as the radial arm saw we're delivering to Ryan (Carol's son) in Columbus, Ohio. The weather was pefect after a week of steady rain!
With last minute details to handle, we got undeway about 1:00PM and had a largely uneventful drive to Lake City, FL, if you don't take into consideration the intermittent torrential downpours and impressive lightening displays along the way! After a good night's rest, and a hearty breakfast we headed out for Unadilla, GA, where Carol's home campground is located. So far the dogs seem contented with their crew cab accommodations and even though we aren't getting to sight see along the way, we're happy to be on-a-roll! We should arrive in Springfield, Ohio on the 29th, and be in the area for about 2 weeks.
Bye for now...

Getting Back On The Road!

Hello to everyone!

It's a new year, and a new blog! Spending 6 months in Tampa (November - April) at Bay Bayou RV Park turned out to be wonderful! Lots of folks with motorcycles, a great chapter of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club nearby, many new friends, and many hours poolside all contributed to a fun winter.

The best thing of all was meeting my new Beau, Bruce. Only time will tell of course, but we think we're a great match, so we'll be traveling together this summer, and meeting up with Janet and Ron, my friends and former traveling companions from Washington State. The 4 of us will be taking the grand tour of New England from July through October, and then returning together to Tampa for next winter.

Between now and the end of June, Bruce and I will be traveling to Ohio and Pennsylvania where we'll see family and friends, and the rig will make it's visit to the "Mother Ship" - my RV Dealer in PA. So, hold on to your hats - we're all going to be "ON-A-Roll"
