Tuesday we had lunch with Carol's boss from Air Products, Dr. Lloyd Tepper, and then took the camper down to Pottstown to the dealer for some adjustments and minor repairs. It turned out that we had a leaking window (for some time) and we'll need to replace carpet, table and chairs, and one inside wall along with some interior trim! Thankfully it's all under warranty!!! We'll return to PA before heading south for the winter so that this work can be done - not enough time right now to get all the materials...
Early Wed morning we headed in to New York City with Ilona, Ron and Janet. After arriving at Battery Park by subway (always exciting) we took the boat to the Statue of Liberty and then on to Ellis Island. Then it was back to the subway to the Twin Towers site and on to dinner at a fine Mexican restraunt before the drive back to Allentown.
Over the next few days, we visited friends from Carol's days at Air Products and made a trip back to the RV dealership to work on a design for mounting Bruce's 37" TV in the main
And VOILA! The TV has a home!
We went to see Cabella's in Hamburg, PA and happened to be there when they were having a sale on FrogTogs rain gear which was a good thing because it's been raining more than not since then! If you haven't been to a Cabella's store, it's worth taking a look. Bruce says it's somewhat like visiting a taxadermy museum in parts! If they don't have something it's probably not worth having for camping, fishing, climbing, hunting, etc!

Ron and Janet left with their rig to see some of Connecticut and Rhode Island on their way to Massachusetts where we will meet up with them for the summer. On Sunday we said goodbye to Ilona and Glenn and moved all our stuff, critters, bikes, etc to Carol and Ed Hare's house (more new folks for Bruce to get to know and live with for a week!! The Carols went to "the shore" (Ocean City, NJ) for two days of "chick chat" and beach time, at Carol Hare's condo there, giving the guys some time to work on projects using Ed's extensive and well organized workshop.

It was a great way to end our stay in PA! Next entry, we'll be back with Janet and Ron in New England!
ACE Hardware or Ed's?
Our last weekend in PA we finally had good weather and took advantage of it with an all day ride on the bikes to some of Carol's favorite places - Penn's Peak and Jim Thorpe - with some friends.
